Academic Writing Sources
Best resources for academic writing I use
Below is a list of sources that you can use in academic writing.
- Books
- Journals
- Credible Websites (CNN, the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, etc.) - How to determine credible sources (will be covered later)
However, in some special cases, you may be asked to use the following sources:
- YouTube Videos
- Online images
Some of the best sites to find books and journal articles are:
- Google Scholar
- Worldcat.org
- School Libraries and databases
- ProQuest
The sources are numerous. A good academic writer must have good research skills. Therefore, do not limit yourself. Try to search for credible sources. A good academic writer should subscribe to at least one online database. There are other equally useful websites, and you will discover them as you gain experience as a writer.
